When this image was received Cyclonic Storm Gaja was moving west, north-westwards over the Bay of Bengal with a 3-minute sustained average wind speed of 35 knots (40.3 mph) and gusts of 45 knots (51.8 mph) according to the Regional Specialized Meteorological Centre (RSMC) Tropical Cyclones, New Delhi. RSMC Tropical Cyclones, La Reunion reported that Severe Tropical Storm Bouchra was tracking westwards over the Indian Ocean with a 10-minute sustained average wind speed of 50 knots (57.6 mph) and a Tropical Depression (ex-Alcide) was moving in a westerly direction off the north-east coast of Madagascar with a 10-minute sustained average wind speed of 30 knots (34.6 mph).
