Hurricane Irma tracks west, north-westwards as a Category 4 storm on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale (SSHWS) about 270 miles east of Caibarien, Cuba with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 130 knots (149.8 mph) and gusts of 160 knots (184.1 mph). Hurricane Jose is shown also tracking west, north-westwards as a Category 4 storm (SSHWS) around 415 miles east, south-east of the Northern Leeward Islands with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 130 knots (149.8 mph) and gusts of 160 knots (184.1 mph). Hurricane Katia moves in a west, south-westerly direction over the south-west Gulf of Mexico as a Category 2 storm (SSHWS) with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 85 knots (97.9 mph) and gusts of 105 knots (121.0 mph).
