Hurricane Irma tracking in a west, north-westerly direction approximately 75 miles east, north-east of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic as a Category 5 storm on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale (SSHWS) with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 150 knots (172.6 mph) and gusts of 185 knots (212.8 mph). Hurricane Jose moves west, north-westwards about 715 miles east of the Lesser Antilles as a Category 2 storm (SSHWS) with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 80 knots (92.2 mph) and gusts of 100 knots (115.2 mph). Hurricane Katia was stationary over the Gulf of Mexico around 215 miles of Tampico, Mexico as a Category 1 storm (SSHWS) with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 70 knots and gusts of 85 knots (97.9 mph).
