When this image was received the National Hurricane Center reported that Hurricane Raymond was stationary off South West Mexico’s Pacific coast approximately 160 nautical miles west, south-west of Acapulco. Raymond was at this time a Category 3 storm (Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale) with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 110 knots (126.7 mph) and gusts of 135 knots (155.3 mph). Tropical Storm Lorenzo tracks in a north, north-easterly direction over the central Atlantic Ocean about 635 nautical miles east, south-east of Bermuda with a 1-minute sustained average wind speed of 35 knots (40.3 mph) and gusts of 45 knots (51.8 mph).
