An area of low pressure is centred over the Norwegian Sea, west of Norway. A spiral form polar low can be seen over the Barents Sea off Northern Norway. Snow cover is visible across Scandinavia and North West Russia and ice cover is evident in the Gulf of Bothnia and the partially cloud obscured Gulfs of Finland and Riga.
