A large swathe of England and Wales is covered in fog. Emission plumes from power stations and other industrial sources can be seen in this image and are as follows: 1. Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, Cheshire 2. Rocksavage Power Station, Cheshire 3. Ferrybridge Power Station, Yorkshire 4. Eggborough Power Station, Yorkshire 5. Drax Power Station, Yorkshire 6. BP Chemicals Ltd, Saltend, Hull 7. Scunthorpe Steel Works, Tata Steel UK Ltd 8. West Burton Power Station, Nottinghamshire 9. Cottam Power Station, Nottinghamshire 10. The British Sugar Factory, Newark, Nottinghamshire 11. Ratcliffe Power Station, Nottinghamshire 12. Rugeley Power Station, Staffordshire 13. Didcot Power Station, Oxfordshire. Numerous aircraft contrails and dispersal trails are also evident with racetrack contrails visible over North-west Wales.
