Polar lows are visible over the Barents Sea off a snowy northern Scandinavia and northwest Russia. Ice cover is evident in the White Sea, Gulfs' of Bothnia, Finland and Riga as well as the northwestern Russian lakes including Ladoga, Onega and Peipus on the Estonian Russian border.
