Introduction
Dundee Satellite Receiving Station (DSRS) systematically receives and records data from a number of polar orbiting Earth observation satellites and has a long term archive of over 160,000 recordings extending back to 1978. The station also receives images covering the whole earth from geostationary satellites. This image gallery contains a selection of high resolution images available from our archives showing the wide range of environmental applications satellite data can be used to monitor.

- You can now receive the latest updates to our image gallery by liking our Facebook page or following our Twitter feed:
Browse applications
- The menu provides links to various applications, which provide basic searches of the image database returning all results for the chosen application, ordered by date (most recent first).
Perform a custom search
- To conduct a more advanced search that could include information on any combination of satellite sensor, location and date, use the the 'Search' link.
Scroll images by dragging
- All gallery images can now be scrolled by clicking on them and dragging.
- Full image details can now also be viewed from the image pages using the links above the image.
- Note that Javascript needs to be enabled in your web browser for these features to be available.
Subscribe to our feeds
- The gallery now provides feeds for all searches. You can subscribe to these feeds using your browser (or other feed aggregator) to be notified of new images being added.
- After clicking on one of the application links, the “recent images” page, or performing a custom search, you can click the feed icon in your browser -
- from the search results to subscribe to updates for that particular search. - Probably the most useful one to subscribe to is the feed from the “recent images” page.
